I am a graduate from West Chester University, majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. I graduated Cum Laude in May 2010.
Experience
I have tutored at both the middle school and college level. I tutored middle school aged students in geometry, algebra, and general math. At the college level I tutored in basic math. I want to be a tutor because I love teaching. I get the most amazing feeling when I help a child succeed. When I have tutored in the past they first come in with no confidence and are lacking some skills in a particular subject. Then just by working one on one with a student you watch them start to grasp the basic concepts and move on to the more difficult problems or tasks. As the student begins to grasp the skills they used to lack, their confidence shoots up. Having a window seat to watching that occur is the greatest reward when tutoring a student. Since I was a Math Minor in college i have taken other math courses such as, Statistics, Geometry, Teaching Math in the Elementary Classroom, and Teaching Math in the Middle School Classroom. I have passed the Middle School Math PRAXIS which makes me eligible to teach up to 8th grade.

Tues/Thurs at any time, Mon/Wed/Fri after 6PM, Weekends in the morning

Hobbies
In my spare time I love to read. My favorite series that I am in the middle of reading now is the Percy Jackson Series. I also love going to the beach, swimming, kayaking, and doing sudoku puzzles.
