Previous experience with private tutoring, and with one on one help for students in the classroom setting. Currently teaching high school English courses for grades 9, 10, and 11. I would like to be a tutor in order to reach out to other students who may need a more dynamic approach, or a different teaching style, and to add to my repertoire to improve my in-class teaching strategies for students.

I believe in consistent, fair, differentiated instruction for every student, and in giving them the skills they need to reach and exceed their goals in learning and in life. I also believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and applicable. Outside of school, I love to spend time outside, hiking and camping. I love cats (we have four rescue kitties) and all animals in general. My interests also include history, sociology, anthropology, and the sciences (and a lifelong love of learning!)
